Enjolras:
Now we pledge ourselves to hold this barricade.
Marius:
Let them come in their legions, and they will be met.
Enjolras:
Have faith in yourselves, and do not be afraid.
Rebel:
Let's give 'em a screwing they'll never forget!

Enjolras :
Maintenant, nous nous engageons à tenir cette barricade.
Marius :
Qu'ils viennent avec leurs légions, et ils seront rencontrés.
Enjolras :
Ayez foi en vous, et n'ayez pas peur.
Rebelle :
Donnons-leur une baise qu'ils n'oublieront jamais !

Rebel:
This is where it begins,

Let them come if they dare, we'll be there!

Rebel :
C'est ici que ça commence,

(Yells):

I will tell what I can.
Let it be warned they have armies to spare, and our danger is real.
We will need all our cunning to bring them to heel.

Javert :

J'ai été dans leurs lignes, j'ai compté chaque homme,
Je vais vous dire ce que je peux.
Sachez qu'ils ont des armées en réserve, et que notre danger est réel.
Nous aurons besoin de toute notre ruse pour les mettre au pas.

Enjolras:
Have faith, if you know what their movements are we'll spoil their game.
There are ways that a people can fight.
We shall overcome their power!

Enjolras :
Aie confiance, si tu connais leurs mouvements, nous allons gâcher leur jeu.
Il y a des moyens pour un peuple de se battre.
Nous vaincrons leur pouvoir !

Javert:
I have overheard their plans,
There will be no attack tonight.
They intend to starve us out before they start a proper fight.
Concentrate their force, hit us from the right.

Javert :
J'ai entendu leurs plans,
Il n'y aura pas d'attaque ce soir.
Ils ont l'intention de nous affamer avant de commencer un vrai combat.
Concentrer leur force, nous frapper par la droite.

Gavroche:
Liar!
Good evening dear inspector, lovely evenin' my dear.
I know this man, my friends, his name's inspector Javert.
So don't believe a word he says 'cause none of it's true.
This only goes to show what little people can do.

Gavroche :

Bonsoir cher inspecteur, charmante soirée ma chère.
Je connais cet homme, mes amis, son nom est l'inspecteur Javert.
Alors ne croyez pas un mot de ce qu'il dit, car rien n'est vrai.
Cela montre seulement ce que les petites gens peuvent faire.

Rebel:
Bravo little Gavroche, your the top of the class!
So what are we gonna do with this snake in the grass?

Rebelle :

Tie this man, and take him to the tavern in there.

Enjolras :

Rebel (yells): There's a boy climbing the barricade!

Rebelle (crie) : Il y a un garçon qui grimpe sur la barricade !
